**Important Notice**

Deadline for volunteer and internship applications is January 18th

Please complete each section, all sections must be completed, or application will not be reviewed. We will only be accepting a few volunteers and 1 intern this upcoming season. Please do not be discouraged if you do not get an email to set up an interview. Space is incredibly limited, but there are several ways you can help wildlife. Capture/Transport is an invaluable service our community members provide. Wildlife capture/transport is always needed! You can also apply to other wildlife rehabilitation centers. We are a small team of compassionate, and dedicated individuals who go above and beyond to help native bat species. We are looking to expand our bat rehab family. At this time we will not be accepting out of state residence. Individuals interested in working with bats must be rabies vaccinated. If you receive an email scheduling an interview time, details of rabies vaccine series will be given. You MUST be vaccinated in order to start working with bats. If you are not currently vaccinated there are options, however this expense is not paid by the rehabilitation center. Thank you for your interest in helping bats!

Internship Application

Pennsylvania Bat Rescue is a unique wildlife rehabilitation organization dedicated to the conservation and rehabilitation of bats.  We specialize in the treatment, care and maintenance of injured, orphaned, abandoned, and displaced bats. All applicants must be currently enrolled in a wildlife, conservation, environmental science, or biology degree program to be considered for an internship with Pennsylvania  Bat Rescue. Only 1 applicant will be accepted, please do not let this discourage you from pursuing an internship with other organizations. This is a non-paid internship in which you will gain valuable experience in the field, and assisting our wildlife rehabilitator.
