Nuisance Wildlife Control Operators (humane excluders) are licensed by the Pennsylvania Game Commission. Bat removal is conducted during spring, March through the first week of May and Fall last week of August through the first week of October. During the summer months female bats are giving birth. Separating mothers from pups (baby bats) could be fatal. Female bats only give birth to 1 pup a year, they are the slowest reproducing mammals for their size. During the winter bats are inactive, sealing them inside a building during hibernation or deep torpor could result in bats making their way into living areas. In Pennsylvania it's illegal to harm, kill or inhumanely remove bats. Please save our remaining populations by way of humane exclusion. Give our bats a place to live by providing a quality bat house installed before exclusion.
