Volunteer Application

Thank you for your interest in our bat rehabilitation and sanctuary volunteer opportunities. Volunteers are the backbone of our organization and our mission. 

We are searching for dedicated volunteers to join us and our team on a regular basis. Volunteers must commit to a minimum of 2 days a month, but more often is certainly welcomed and preferred. Volunteers must be 18 years or older and must sign a waiver to be on premise.  We value the time and effort that serious, dedicated volunteers willingly commit to Pennsylvania Bat Rescue. 

Anyone interested in working with bats must be rabies vaccinated and maintain a CDC acceptable titer. Please do not become rabies vaccinated without interviewing with us first. Our volunteers are responsible for costs associated with pre-exposure rabies vaccinations, boosters, and rabies titer testing. 

We have two shifts we are hoping to fill. If you are able to stay later, please indicate in your application. Applications will be processed by our team as soon as we can. 

We are located in Mertztown, Berks County. Please note travel time from your residence when applying.
